Nonlinear Dynamic Behaviour of Hollow Piles Based on Axial Harmonic Loading

Abstract The main objective of the current work is to examine dynamic axial response three pile group under machine-based harmonic loads. Field tests are carried out excitations on a with length 300 cm and an diameter 11.4 in order accomplish this objective. For various eccentric moments, frequency versus amplitude responses measured. field test results soil-pile system show non-linear behaviour as their resonant frequencies decrease amplitudes disproportionally increase forces. inverse methodology proposed by Novak (1971) used for theoretical study. With methodology, changes stiffness, damping, effective mass piles moments quantified analyzing frequency-amplitude curves results. theoretically back-calculated compared results, it observed that analytically predicted closely match responses. It also found values estimated damping increased, while average stiffness decreased moments.
